Two Rooms by Lee Blessing (Directed byDemetri Vacratsis)

Two Rooms depicts a windowless cubicle in Beirut where an American hostage is being held by Arab terrorists and a room in his home in the United States which his wife has stripper of furniture so that, at least symbolically, she can share his ordeal. This play illuminates both the numbing agony of the one detained and also the helpless fury of those who are left behind, impatient for something to be done.

 

 

 

 

 

 

True West by Sam Shepard (Directed by Valerie Bonasso)

True West centers on the relationship between two estranged brothers; Austin, a yuppie Hollywood screenwriter and Lee, a desert drifter and small time criminal. The play explores the duality of human personality, and the search for self identity through the gritty emotional universe of a dysfunctional family.

 



 

 

 

Mercy Seat by Neil LaBute (Directed by Courtney Burkett)

On September 12, 2001 in a time of national tragedy, Ben Harcourt finds himself in the apartment of his lover, Abby Prescott – who also happens to be his boss. His ringing cell phone haunts their conversation as they explore the choices now available to them in an existense different from the one they knew the day before. Will Ben let his family know he’s alive, or will he and Abby take this chance to create a new life together.
